Sir,

I have the honour to enclose for your

information a copy of the translation of an extract from the Man kwok Yat Po (Canton of 20th December, 1926, concerning an alleged loan of £5,000,000

to Chinese Militarists.

2.

It will be seen that the parties to the

loan are said to be Sir Robert Ho Tug, the Chartered

Balin of India, Australia and China, and the British American Tobacco Company, Copies of disclaimers from Sir Robert Ho Tung, the British American Tobacco Company,

and the Charte ed Bank are enclosed.

so gooû as to move the Canton Goverment to have this

article contrauicuea.
